Valentines Day is next week already! This weekend, you can get into the spirit by dancing with your loved one, or by getting a sweet serenade! Here’s how:

1. The Meriden Humane Society is holding its Valentines Day Dance on Friday, February 10th from 6:30 until 9:30pm! The dance will take place at Zandri’s Stillwood Inn in Wallingford (directions here).

The night includes dancing, a buffet dinner, raffle prizes, a silent auction, and a cash bar. Tickets are $55, and can be purchased at the Humane Society’s office.  And of course, all the proceeds will benefit this no-kill, nonprofit shelter that doesn’t receive any government or grant money! Help them out if you can!

2. On Saturday, February 11th, head out to Foxwoods Resort and Casino for a spectacular performance by the Doo Wop Hall of Fame! You’ll hear music by The Diamonds, The Contours, The Vandellas, and more mainstays from this fun-filled musical era.

The highlight of the evening will be a special performance by the Buddy Holly Review! The show starts at 8pm in the Fox Theater at the Resort. You can buy tickets by visiting this page.
